Would anyone strongly oppose that Apertium as a whole drops support for
Ubuntu 12.04 and RHEL/CentOS 6?

The desire comes from wanting to use the C++11 standard - currently,
Apertium fails to build on 12.04 because there is no C++11 support. The
standard is over 5 years old now, so it is about time we allowed the use.

HFST, on which many languages depend, dropped EL6 support long ago. Matxin,
and Apertium APY already don't support Ubuntu 12.04.

Both distros are scheduled for EOL in 6-9 months anyway, so we're not
jumping the gun by much.
