Hi everyone,

I'd like to introduce myself as Akshay Minocha (IRC nick: ksnmi ), IIIT
Hyderabad and I have been working on the non-standard input project for a
couple of days to finally come up with something worth sharing with you
guys.

The project on the non-standard text input is the one I'm interested in
working on. I have done research on Corpus Linguistics and Machine
Translation and have been acquainted or more aptly put - have been facing
this problem for quite some time now. Specially in the case of informal
text such as tweet's etc where we want to lexically analyze the data, in
this particular case to improve the machine translation quality.

I had sent the mail out earlier but due to size issues(>40KB) the delivery
was stalled.

You can access the draft of the proposal at ->

Please feel free to drop suggestions to this thread or add comments to the
section in the document.

P.S - I will add it to the wiki after the first set of suggestion or by
evening- whichever comes first :)

Best,
Akshay Minocha
