I write to you with my IPMC hat and apacheCON EU hat on. If you need your community to grow, this is one of the best chances you get. Thanks to Roman you even have 2 choices: - submit a full presentation (I promise audience will be polite, even if it your first time) - submit a 5 minute "get to know us" talk, where Roman will help. As IPMC I allow myself to have the opinion. A podling that does not submit a talk, should not complain about not being able to grow. I helped a podling start last year in Budapest, and during the event we got 3 new committers, which actually nearly doubled our size, so it can be done. A hint, a presentation about your community and goals tend to attract more audience than a pure technical talk.
