I'm guessing that's because there isn't anything special about building on
Solaris. I don't have access to a Solaris box at the moment, so I can't
verify this, but you should be able to just download the source (for the
latest release source, pick up the jikes-1.13.tar.gz file at:
http://oss.software.ibm.com/developerworks/project/showfiles.php?group_id=10
then run the "configure" script ('./configure'), then run 'make'. (I
actually managed to compile it on NT, so doing it on unix should be a
breeze :)
