Using ant cross platform

Hey all,

Does anyone have any tips regarding using Ant on both Windows and Unix,
particulary regarding the use of pathnames (specfically dealing with drive
letters). The goal is to make ant as self-contained as practical, and
minimally reliant on the environment or external scripting.

Just look for some hints and common practices.

Preferably something less extreme than:

$ mkdir /c: on the unix boxen.
