Hi Gunnar,

For now the forum and mailing lists will co-exist, although we are focusing
on making the forum the main place for people to gather and ask questions /
discuss topics. We encourage everyone to start using the forum, and down
the line we'll consult with the various lists (there are several in
addition to ansible-project) on ways to retire/migrate them.

In the meantime, if you prefer the way mailing lists work, there's a Guide
to interacting with the forum by email
<https://forum.ansible.com/t/guide-to-interacting-with-this-site-by-email/33>
.

Cheers,
 Carol.

would it i.e. be well received to post links to forum Questions/Topics in
here rather then speeling things out in an email?

forum is great. One question ... is there any particular change on how to
use this mailing list intended by this launch, or will they just co-exist?

regards

Hi everyone,

It’s time! Sign up here <https://forum.ansible.com/signup> [image: :rocket:]

As has been discussed
<https://github.com/ansible-community/community-topics/issues/202> over the
past 6+ months, the new Ansible Community Forum <https://forum.ansible.com/> is
live!

We’re aiming big, to create a place for the whole ecosystem to gather and
*discuss* topics of interest, get *help*, find out about *events*, and get
involved. With powerful tagging, filtering, notification options, and
search, you should be able to set this up to track the topics *you* care
about and want to participate in.

You can find out a bit more in our launch blog post
<https://www.ansible.com/blog/welcome-to-the-new-ansible-community-forum>,
or just dive right in <https://forum.ansible.com/signup>. And when you do, come
introduce yourself <https://forum.ansible.com/t/introduce-yourself/15>!

Ready to start exploring some of the topics? Here’s a few suggestions:

   - The new community website wireframes

<https://forum.ansible.com/t/wireframes-for-the-new-ansible-com-community-powered-website/90>
 could
   use some feedback
   - We’ve been working on our mission statement

<https://forum.ansible.com/t/ansible-mission-statement-brainstorming-time/176>,
   maybe you have an opinion?
   - Looking for a Meetup <https://forum.ansible.com/c/events/8>? Or want
   to start one? Look here!
   - And, of course, answers to Open #Help requests

<https://forum.ansible.com/search?expanded=false&q=%23help%20status%3Aunsolved%20status%3Aopen>
 are
   very welcome [image: :slightly_smiling_face:]

We look forward to getting to know you! Onwards! [image: :tada:]
