Let's try that again.

You've got some convoluted variable definitions. Consider doing this instead

  vars:
    clfrecord:
      prod: "prod-{{ carrier }}"
      stage: "stage-{{ carrier }}"

Then in your task you can say

    record: "{{ clfrecord[env] }}"
