Hi, I’ve found this nice tool http://hiddentao.github.io/ansijet/ but regarding this topic, I don’t know if there is a better approach or even an official one.
The problem is, I have a bunch of EC2 instances based on a personal/custom AMI that I would like to setup roles with Ansible. The thing is I want to fully-automate this step so whenever AWS autoscaling magic installs a new server (based on my AMI), the server goes up and asks some endpoint “Hey, what’s my role here?” without any human intervention. I have many roles, base, workers, webapps, etc. I want to apply the base role plus another one more specific to this server. I thought that based on some sort of ‘autoscaling group variable’ I could figure what role to apply. Did someone already had this question waving in his mind? :) Thanks in advance, Frank -- Change is the essential process of all existence. -- Spock, "Let That Be Your Last Battlefield", stardate 5730.2 -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Ansible Project" group.
