Hi all, Apache SkyWalking Team is glad to announce the release of Apache SkyWalking 10.4.0.
SkyWalking is an APM (Application Performance Monitoring) tool for distributed systems, especially designed for microservices, cloud-native, and container-based architectures. This release contains a number of new features, bug fixes, and improvements compared to version 10.3.0. The notable changes since 10.3.0 include: Key Highlights: - Support Virtual GenAI monitoring with OTLP and Zipkin traces, including GenAI pricing analysis. - Support Envoy AI Gateway observability (SWIP-10). - Support TraceQL and Tempo API for SkyWalking native trace query. - Replace Groovy-based DSL compilation with ANTLR4 + Javassist for OAL, MAL, LAL, and Hierarchy DSLs. - LAL: add def local variable support with toJson/toJsonArray, introduce LogMetadata to decouple metadata from LogData. - MAL: add extension function SPI, companion class pattern for closures, labeled metrics additional attributes. - Enhance the alarm kernel with recovered status notification capability. - Replace BanyanDB Java client with native implementation. - Support OpenSearch client cert auth. - Support Java 25 for build, test, and Docker publishing.
