At ApacheCon, Austin Mayor Steve Adler Recognized the ASF's 15th Anniversary by 
Proclaiming 13-16 April 2015 "Apache Software Foundation Days" 

At the opening session of ApacheCon, Apache Software Foundation (ASF) President 
Ross Gardler read a proclamation [1] from City of Austin Mayor Steve Adler that 
recognized the all-volunteer ASF for its leadership in developing, stewarding, 
and incubating more than 350 Open Source projects and initiatives over the past 
15 years: 13-16 April 2015 have been designated "Apache Software Foundation 
Days". 

Now in its 16th year, ApacheCon, the official conference for the ASF, attracted 
nearly 500 attendees from the global Apache community. Event highlights 
included thought provoking keynotes by Brian Behlendorf, Chip Childers, Gina 
Likins, Mike Maxey, Jay Schmelzer, and Andy Terrel (videos at 
https://www.youtube.com/user/TheApacheFoundation); more than 120 in-depth 
sessions across sixteen tracks that include Big Data, Business, Cloud, 
Containers, Content, Integration, Mobile, OFBiz/Open Source ERP, Science, and 
Security; the 20th Anniversary celebration of the Apache HTTP Web Server 
(featuring some of the original members of the Apache Group

Hackathons, MeetUps, and Birds of a Feather sessions; Lightning Talks; PGP Key 
Signing; and Women of ASF Luncheon. Co-located events focused on specific 
Apache projects included CloudStack Days, Ignite Training Session, Spark Forum,

The ASF continues its outreach to local communities with the upcoming ApacheCon
