Apache Cayenne team is glad to announce a release candidate of 3.1.

Cayenne is a Java persistence framework. It takes a distinct approach to object
persistence and provides an ORM runtime, remote persistence services, and a GUI
mapping/modeling tool.

Among other things 3.1 features a built-in dependency injection container that
makes customization of the runtime a real easy exercise. 3.1RC1 is really
stable and just a step away from final. For Mac users the Modeler now supports
Oracle Java 7 on OS X (with a separate build for Apple Java 6 included as
“legacy”). For the rest - a few bug fixes and better docs. Check it out!
