Although this apparent feature (https://github.com/angular/angular.js/issues/6404) is available since 1.4, I could not manage to find mention of it in any part of angularjs.org documentation (namely https://code.angularjs.org/snapshot/docs/api/ng/service/$compile nor https://code.angularjs.org/snapshot/docs/guide/directive). Is it really a supported feature. Are the documentation not updated since 1.4?
