Ok, if you are just interested in manipulating images then you need to google animated gifs in photoshop or middle end software like Paint ship pro. I f you wish to manipulate div layers, then you have the options to google, ng animate(which will allow you to modify the time interval between div layer transitions). JQuery is another option for you to consider when manipulating images in div layers which will facilitate the transitions you are looking for.
