Not tried it yet, but have you tried watching for state change events?
```
$rootScope.$on '$stateChangeStart', (event, toState, toParams, fromState,
fromParams) ->
switch toState.name
....
```
Central point and maybe the right events (start, end, ..) for your purpose?
