Hi Mark,

You can't just put something inside a comment node, as comment nodes don't 
have (visible!) children. Thats just how the dom works (well, that's the 
really simplified version of it!).
Nothing angular can do about that!, however, you can add replace:true, and 
it will work. If needed, you can even but back in a new comment, with the 
stuff inside you want. This needs some extra work on your part though!
