In your controller injection list you are missing “products”. The array of
strings for dependency injection needs to match the number of parameters
into your controller function:

var productDetailController =
catalogControllers.controller('ProductDetailController',
['$scope',
function($scope, product) {
.....
]

*Should become:*
var productDetailController =
catalogControllers.controller('ProductDetailController',
['$scope', 'product'
function($scope, product) {
.....
]
