Practically every white and bronze G1 owners would like better control over the backlight. It works well in the night. But in every other situation, it's easier to see the text without the backlight. Surely someone in HTC must have tested this? In 1.1, I could use an app called Dark Keys. It no longer works in cupcake. You are going to see a lot of people hollering for this, now that Cupcake is out officially.
I love the G1. But some really obvious things like this, seems to have completely missed everyone responsible. I was hoping that a better solution would have come in Cupcake. It's now worse! IMO, there is no other issue higher than this. Because it's I M P O S S I B L E to type on this keyboard!
