*MDR (Managed Detection Response – Cyber Security) Architect.* - 6 Months Contract to Hire (Desire is to identify candidate for FTE conversion at 6 months). Optiv will sponsor H1B candidates after 6 month contract and converted to FTE. - Start: ASAP (not urgent) - Location: Remote acceptable but Onshore United States *MDR Architect (Managed Detection Response – Cyber Security) * Responsible for designing, building, testing and guiding implementation of data processing pipelines, cloud infrastructure, data storage solutions, and data lifecycle processes within Optiv. An MDR Architect is expected to have a thorough understanding of security products, data management, and data pipeline tools and stay up to date with the latest security standards, systems, and authentication protocols, as well as best security practices. *Duties and Responsibilities:* Reviewing current data and delivery systems and recommending and implementing enhancements. Conducting regular system tests and ensuring continuous monitoring of MDR components. Developing project timelines for ongoing system upgrades. Ensuring all personnel have access to the MDR platform limited by need and role. Promptly responding to all MDR platform incidents and providing thorough post-event analyses. As a senior member of the IT team, an MDR Architect job description should also include cultivating a culture of security awareness, and arranging continuing education of personnel to ensure data and platform policies are adhered to at all times. Delivering documentation surround all of Optiv's MDR platform. Ensuring interoperability between different business units' tools and the Optiv MDR platform. Forecasting cost of the Optiv MDR platform tools *Security Architect job qualifications and requirements: * A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field is highly desirable.
