i am talking about "android.permission.GLOBAL_SEARCH" documentation does not provide any useful information.
What i am trying to achieve and where i am confused? IMO this permission may allow system app (that search widgets on launcher) to preform Global Search just like a search but for apps that expose an provider (search) like contacts, calendar and more. is it true? or it's just an deprecated permission that team android forgot to remove? i am trying to make an system app that can query all most all data on device like contact, media, calendar and provider a way to open that in supported app like an contact data in contact app (based on Authority of provider) is "android.permission.GLOBAL_SEARCH" is something i look for or something else?
