Jmeter, python, Performance Center, Dynatrace, shell, Perl, datadog, Neoload, AppDynamics, JProfiler, VB Script, RFT *Sr.QA Engineer* *Hollywood, FL (remote for now but will require relocation to FL) * *6 month Contract-Hire * *GC-EAD, GC and USC only* *Description:* The Sr. QA Performance Test Engineer is responsible for the design, development and execution of manual and automated performance, load, spike, stress and stability test cases as part of the feature and functional test activities for web sites, mobile, and other software applications. The Sr. QA Performance Test Engineer will interact and collaborate primarily with QA test team members, as well as Development Engineering and Product Marketing to develop test strategies. All test and debug activities will be executed according to project plans and schedules, while adhering to defined quality requirements and reported through established tracking tools and systems. *Essential Duties & Responsibilities:* - Write test strategies, test cases and conditions to ensure effective performance test coverage - Execute performance, load, spike, stress, and stability testing, both black box and white box levels - Mentor and collaborate with other testers in test procedures, process and best practices - Work closely with Development, Product Marketing, QA Test leadership, and QA Partners to develop an applicable test approach and strategy for both specific products and product lines - Execute long duration tasks and assignments according to project plans, to meet schedule, resource and quality requirements - Log and track defects using the designated tracking system and tools - Participate in peer and external reviews - Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Computer Science or Related Technical Field - 5+ years of related experience - Experience in software and system performance, load, spike, stress, and stability testing is required - Advanced performance testing experience in soak, reliability, and scalability testing - Experience testing of applications on web-based, client/server, and mobile platforms - Demonstrated experience with NeoLoad and JMeter is required - Advanced experience with monitoring tools (DynaTrace, Performance Center, AppDynamics, JProfiler, Datadog) is required - Demonstrated command and experience working with JIRA highly desired - Working knowledge of relational database technology and SQL - Strong understanding of database architecture/concepts - Experience with the test automation technology and automated test tools (HP-Quick Test Professional, IBM-Rational Functional Tester, IBM-Rational Performance Tester, HP LoadRunner) is a plus - Demonstrated experience in Java Script is highly desired - Experience in other Scripting languages (VB Script, Perl, Python, Shell, etc.), is a plus - Experience in using other testing automation tools (like RFT, QTP and other test automation tools), is a plus - Experience in agile/scrum development methodology - Familiarity with Software Development Life cycle (SDLC) and testing process - Solid cross-group collaboration skills and have a history of working with internal and external partners on technical issues. - Strong analytical skills and decision-making capabilities. - Proven verbal and written communications skills in English.
