*Position: Network Engineer*

*Roles and Responsibilities:*
- Audit firmware and device configuration for Mikrotik and Nomadix
gateways (~100k devices)
- Experience with either of these is a huge plus but is not required
- Documentation of all configurations and firmware versions in Chalk
(internal Atlassian confluence site)
- Determine differences in device configurations and why they are
different
- Outline plan to standardize firmware versions across the network
- Outline plan to standardize device configurations across the network
- There are likely to be several configurations needed, we’d need
to understand the common denominators and limit to as few
variations as
possible. We’ll ultimately build out automation to push on to
these devices.
- General skillsets that come to mind:
- General scripting (ability to scrape data off of ~100k devices)
- General data analytics (ability to compare firmware and device
configurations, etc.)
- Advanced documentation abilities (we need reliable and detailed
documentation of what exist today as well as the path to standardization)
