*Role: Cloud Solution Architect* *Location: Redmond, WA on site 75% time (some remote work allowed)* *Contract Duration: ASAP - July 1, 2020 (end of their fiscal year) + possibility of extension(s)* *Description:* · Positive, self-motivated individual who can complete tasks independently · Commitment to customer satisfaction · Ability to actively listen to user problems and convey commitment toward finding a timely resolution of the issue. · Must have strong communication and documentation skills o able to produce professional, grammatically correct, correspondence. o present clear and consistent customer experience for each call, using verbiage that is, when appropriate, easily understood by non-technical customers · Ability to perform in a dynamic and fast-paced environment · Demonstrated ability to read and interpret technical information *Daily Tasks* o Working with internal stakeholders and tools to discover and catalog info for a grantee facing SharePoint (will not need to build the SharePoint infrastructure) o Initial and ongoing technical onboarding support for researchers as they are beginning use of Azure credits o Answer emails and troubleshoot through email & phone calls (10 hours per week) o Hold 1 hour-long office hour session hour twice per week o Hold 1 hour “getting started” webinars twice per month o Keeping SharePoint content up to date – ongoing *Azure Operational portal & understanding Azure services* o Starting, stopping, scheduling VMs / Scalesets o Migrating client workloads into Azure from other clouds (public or private) as well as traditional on-prem solutions o Experience implementing and orchestrating containers such as Docker, Kubernetes o GPU clusters o Azure IaaS – Compute, Storage, Backups and DR o Azure PaaS – App Services, DB Services, Data Analytics o Azure Machine Learning services o Azure storage services o Strong understanding of computer networking, security, virtualization and containerization o Ability to analyze, debug, and solve complex technical problems across multiple technical disciplines. High level understanding on ML and deep neural nets, enough to do simple examples. The person does not need to be an expert of developing ML models or choosing parameters to improve convergence.
