Knowing or knowledge of DevOps would be added advantage. Original JD: • Flexibility in working hours and able to lead the team on a critical situation. • Documented experience with VMware Technologies at the Sr. Engineer level: - Extensive SSO understanding including Enhanced Linked Mode - LogInsight - vRealize Suite of tools (vRA, vRO, vRops) - AutoDeploy including ImageBuilder - vCenter HA / SRM - VCF • Extensive PowerShell / PowerCLI Knowledge • Dell vxRail range of products. • Experience with rack/wiring diagrams, firmware, and driver management. • Experience developing and maintaining Technical Documentation and instructions. • Must have the ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment with changing priorities. • Contribute to completion of project milestones under the specific guidance or program leadership • Ability to work well both independently and in a team environment as needed. • Experience with multi-site infrastructure deployments • Experience with NSX • Excellent Linux administration skills and understanding of system performance areas (memory, swap, disk, i/o, network i/o, CPU contention, and CPU thread balancing etc.) • Ability to configure and integrate storage devices (SAN, NAS) supporting VMware infrastructure • Participate in a rotating On Call coverage for after hours and weekends support. • VMware administration responsible for configuration, maintenance, monitoring, and overall support of multiple VMware environments. • Setup, install, configure, and triage ESXi Hosts (Rack Mount and Blade Servers). • Extensive team management skills with ability to handle Geo distributed teams. • Should have DevOps skills set and customer experience focused. • Ability to host the governance call with customer and be able to follow up. • Good understanding of ITIL framework and implementation. • Good communication (oral and written) and able to articulate issues at executive level.
