Title: Data Security Analyst, Sr. Location: Salem, OR
Duration: 6 Months This position will develop a comprehensive information security* system security plan that is aligned with the organization’s compliance and risk requirements. This person will work under the supervision of the Information Security Officer as part of the information security team coordinating with OIS and within the organization as required. The candidate for this role should demonstrate professional experience applying information security principles in large, diverse organizations with protected or regulated information. Prior experience in health care, social services, and state government preferred. Additionally, experience implementing NIST SP 800-53 and dealing with audits is preferred. This role requires someone who: - Communicates technical details in plain English verbally and in writing - Deals well with ambiguity - Is able to break large problems into smaller pieces in order to accomplish the project in the desired timeframe - Is mature and a self-starter requiring minimal supervision - Is familiar with project management principles - Has hands-on experience with NIST SP 800-53v4 and is familiar with information security audits - Has experience developing policy, processes, and/or security frameworks - Leads through consensus and is a team player - Is results focused *Information security differs from IT security because information security is a risk and compliance based approach to identifying and assessing the risks to an organization’s information. The focus is on physical, personnel, and technical standards through the lifecycle of an organization’s information when the organization receives it, through its processing and storage, and finally when it is stored, destroyed, or disseminated.
