*Our system is an embedded, multi-box, (multi-board, within each box)
airborne missile defense system. Our operating platforms are VXWorks,
TI-RTOS. There are FPGAs in there and image processing, tracking/targeting
(to include geolocation), and avionics integration are fundamental.*

Here are the preferred qualifications for the SW Testers:
• Interpret and understand requirements and design documents
(particularly from testability perspective).
• Perform integration and system level test on a variety of
sensors, processors, and protocols
• Write CSCI Integration and system tests (for both
verification of requirements and system performance evaluation)
• Test/troubleshoot software and document all issues
encountered.
• Collaborate with systems engineering and test team for
traceability of software and verification.
• Experience with identifying or developing SW verification
tools (Matlab, LabView, video simulation tools, and data recorders).
• Experience testing in embedded microprocessor and/or digital
signal processor (DSP)
• Experience with military aircraft / avionics communication
architectures (i.e. 1553 Bus)
• Experience with integration and system test of safety
critical SW requirements
• Experience using DOORS (or similar requirements management
tools)
• Familiar with software development in C/C++, RTOS, GPS, and
LINUX
• Familiar with avionic GPS and INS data collection
• Familiar with IR and Laser technology
• Have a deep understanding of testing for failure cases (i.e.
Built-in-test) and CPU loading (stress testing)
• Experience with measurement techniques using test equipment
that includes: power meters, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers,
oscilloscopes, etc.
• Able to work on site in Dallas, TX or Germantown MD and or
travel between sites on occasion
