Customer service skills and ability to work with people at all levels of the organization required. Manage all aspects of the UNIX and Manage 2000 operating environments. . Maintain UNIX servers and operating systems, and ensure continuing operation of the Division’s Manage 2000 ERP system and associated applications. Responsible for disaster recovery and business continuity of Endoscopy Manage 2000 ERP business systems. *ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:* Maintain and administer UNIX servers. Monitor space and performance, apply patches, and have overall responsibility for system backups. Manage the maintenance and backup time window. Maintain and administer Manage 2000 web application servers, including Redback. Responsible for Manage 2000 system security. Assign users, maintain password and functional security within the M2K application. Serve as the Configuration Manager for the production and development systems. Maintains code libraries, checks code in and out, compiles software changes, moves code to production, and maintains version control. Responsible for Disaster Recovery processes for UNIX and Manage 2000. Conducts quarterly and annual disaster recovery testing. Write and maintain UNIX system, disaster recovery, and configuration management procedures. Responsible for external interfaces to the UNIX and Manage 2000. Includes EDI and FTP. Responsible for all operating system programming for the HP-UX UNIX environment.
