JOB DESCRIPTION:
Quality Assurance Analyst
Reason for Request: E2E testing required for the Sutherland Phase 2 Project
Responsibilities:
• Test new or modified program, including documentation, diagram, and
flow charts, to determine if program will perform according to user request and
conform to guidelines and requirements.
• Design, development, implement and execute reusable automated test
scripts using industry standard tools such as HP QTP/UFT, Selenium or other
open source tools for functional test automation.
• Define scope and objectives of all levels of Quality Assurance and
establish the purpose and deliverables of the test effort.
• Participate in all aspects of testing, including Functional,
End-to-End, Back-end, Regression, and UAT testing.
• Track and report defects using appropriate tools such as Quality
Center. Record and report on testing metrics.
• Provide input for resource planning, management and resolution of
issues that impede the test effort.
• Review computer operating log to identify program processing errors.
• Test program for validity of results, accuracy, reliability, and
conformance to established standards.
• Identify differences between established standards and user
applications.
• Write documentation to describe program evaluation, testing, and
correction.
• Provide clear documents and knowledge transfer to improve the
success of the project.
• Additional duties as assigned.
Skills Required:
• Experience testing mobile and web applications, including back-end
testing.
• Experience with testing in SOA environment and tools such as SOAP
and XML.
• Knowledge of SQL and Relational databases.
• Knowledge of writing and executing manual test procedures.
JOB PURPOSE:
• Develop, execute, and implement test plans and test cases for
complex, multiple applications and end-point devices throughout the full
lifecycle of the software.
• Work on all software applications, including new and in production.
• Write maintain and execute test scripts for manual and automated
tests; publish test results; and provide input into quality assurance policy
standards.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor’s degree in related field.
• Three to five years of software test experience with Agile
development methodology and tools.
• Experience testing mobile and web applications, including back-end
testing.
• Experience with testing in SOA environment and tools such as SOAP
and XML.
• Minimum of three years of experience with automation and
scripting/programming languages.
• Experience performing test execution using Quality Center/ALM.
• Experience testing web based applications.
• Experience preparing test data for business data validation.
• Knowledge of SQL and Relational Databases.
• Knowledge of writing and executing manual test procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Visio, HP
Quality Center
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be highly organized and detail oriented.
• Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills.
• Ability to analyze system requirements and provide effective
solutions.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet
deadlines.
• Ability to act quickly and maintain focus under pressure.
• Ability to work independently.
