*Systems Engineer II* Location: Phoenix, AZ *6 Months Contract Possible Extension*
*Only Locals or Candidate from West Coast* *Job Description:* *Local Phoenix candidates preferred* as work will be onsite in the Phoenix corporate office. Will be travelling a couple times a month - each trip will be for a few days to other Company facilities. *Top non-negotiable skills needed:* *Netapp storage certification & expert knowledge of Netapp storage.* *Overview* – Contract only; responsible for storage delivery for projects – upgrades, patching, etc; Looking for someone very focused and well-rounded on NetApp area. Team of 5 and 2 people of recently left; The expectations are operations and project based; Need someone who can hit the ground running while the two position are being filled; EMC is not so important because he has coverage for this area, Netapp skill set is needed *Day in the life *– 7am-4pm are typical hours; there is on call schedule – no expectation for the new contractor until this new person gets up to speed – more operational calls - not call in the middle of the night call; Meetings, storage management, change management ticketing, key projects that are in progress – migrating from old to new the NetApp platform to the new; Swapping out hardware from facilities – migrating equipment and doing uplifts, internal work on operational tool, SOPS, inventory management, documentation; planning, coordinating and oversight; 20% operational work; 80% project work *Must Haves – * 1. *Netapp Clustered Ontap (would be nice to have this latest version)* 2. *Migration skills* 3. *Knowledge in 7-Mode* 4. *Process oriented (SOPS, documentation, change management)* *Nice to Haves* – Older Netapp certifications are nice to have; the newer Netapp Clustered Ontap certification would be beneficial *Soft skills *– Outgoing, good communication, documentation skills, willing to take time upfront to make sure things are executed properly *Interview *– 1st Phone screen; 2nd Onsite Interview; 3rd Panel Interview; will ask specific technology questions; *QUALIFICATIONS:* *General Qualifications* · BA or BS in Computer Science, Technology, or Business discipline or equivalent experience is required. · 3-7 years of professional experience in an IT technical or infrastructure field is required. · Established understanding of Infrastructure and relative technologies. · Established understanding of network connectivity and protocols. *One or more of the following sets of qualifications:* Storage · Established experience with communication and documentation applications necessary for operational support. (MS Office, Exchange, Ticketing tools, device connectivity, Web interfaces) · Established understanding of common operating systems Windows, Linux. · Established understanding of storage related protocols (ISCSI, NFS, CIFS, and NDMP). · Established understanding of SAN and NAS storage infrastructures (Netapp and EMC preferred). · Established understanding of storage networking infrastructures (Brocade, Cisco). · Established understanding of RAID levels and disk technologies. · 3+ years’ experience with NAS and/or SAN Storage technologies. · 2+ years’ experience with storage networking technologies. *TRAVEL REQUIRED:* · Moderate travel may be required: 0-25% during the normal course of business but may be required to travel more frequently during certain events -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Developers" group.
