<p>Responsibilities:<br> - Work collaboratively with the research and software 
development teams to understand requirements for source data, appropriate 
techniques for validating intermediate<br> results, and implement rich 
visualization tools.<br> - Work with external IDM collaborators (universities, 
the CDC, the WHO, etc.) to<br> understand their data requirements and data 
visualization needs.<br> - Specify, design, and implement software for data 
access APIs and data visualization<br> tools with high quality in accordance 
with given requirements and chosen design.<br> - Review specifications, 
software designs, and code of software and research team<br> members.<br> - 
Participate in the specification, review, and design of database schemas.<br> - 
Participate with other development and testing team members to complete 
work<br> iterations.<br> - Participate in reviewing test plans and test 
automation for components under<br> development.<br> - Set personal goals and 
report status regularly to the team and management.</p> <p>Qualifications and 
Skills:<br> - Requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field of study and at 
least 4 years software<br> development experience<br> - Must have at least 4 
years using C# or Java.<br> - Must have at least 2 years of relational database 
programming experience.<br> - Must have at least 2 years of user interface 
development experience in HTML and<br> JavaScript.<br> - Must work in an 
iterative/agile team environment.<br> - Must have experience developing 
unit/component tests.<br> - Must work well with team members.<br> - Familiarity 
with multiple database (SQL Server, PostgreSQL) servers is a plus<br> - 
Experience with Python and/or C++ is a plus<br> - Experience with Visual Studio 
is a plus<br> - Experience with PostGIS is a plus<br> - Experience with 
OpenLayers is a plus<br> - Science or engineering background or other 
experience with statistics is a plus</p>
