This highly dynamic position will interact with application teams across the organization to engineer, document, and support load balancing solutions unique to the application requirements. · The Load Balancing Engineer will be an expert in the Citrix NetScaler or F5 Load Balancing platforms, must have integration/configuration/administration experience, and possess a solid Network background including an understanding of switch, network routing and firewall concepts. · The Load Balancing Engineer must possess very strong troubleshooting skills as well as a strong TCP understanding as it pertains to packet inspection and TCP flow in the Network and Application flows. · The Load Balancing Engineer must have a very good understanding of DNS functionality and concepts as it relates to IPv4 and IPv6. Experience with and/or knowledge/understanding of Infoblox a plus. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE · Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering or relevant field preferred, equivalent experience is acceptable · 10+ years IT experience required, minimum 4 years in Load Balancing technology and DNS RESPONSIBILITY LEVEL: · Team player that exercises independent judgment with minimal direction from supervisor · Coordinate multiple managed service providers using standardized engagements to complete work in various environments including Production environments · Coordinates with Citrix and/or F5 vendors during issue resolution · Interacts with multiple internal application teams to create customized load balancing solutions · Patriciate in off hours elevation and on call rotation.
