Hi. Im having some problems with Keystore and or release certificates. As Im not a programming genius, I will tell you what I know.
1. I have a app apk that has been been tested locally on 2 androd devices (4.2.1 and 5.0). The app uses google maps and works good "locally" on our devices ( I send it via bluetooth and the install+app works great), 2. Ive uploaded the APK to the App store and went through the process completely (so I thought). I did not make any keys or license deals as I remember. 3. Now the uploaded (paid) version that gets download via google play does not show the map.Tested on 2 devices, same error. However the app starts and has the menu, but no map. 4. My Android development codes are trying to fix this, but they say they need a "keystore" to acess and or update the apk in the developer console. They say it should be locally on my computer where I uploaded the original APK from. I have windows XP on that computer. Ive searched my ass of trying to find any keystore , but I cant manage to find it. 5. As I understand it, I need some sort of license release certificate (fingerprint?) or similar. Also a release certificate to google maps (or maybe its the same thing). Please help, what should I do so I can get hold of the keystore or should I just try to get the Google maps API? Ive seen similar threads, so sorry If this is one of many duplicates. I just cant find any keystore, is it possible ive uploaded the app without any keystore? thanks! -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Developers" group.
