*Marti*, How are you running your app? Click on AVD icon,you will see list of emulators that you have created. Select emulator which is configured with API 16. Once the emulator is fully started.Right click on package explorer. Select Run as -> Android Application.Select the emulator if it is asking. This is how i run my apps.Directly running apps was creating problems for me.
