It's not that your questions are completely horrible. But this list is for development with the Android SDK. Your problem relates fundamentally to your trying to learn Java. The intended audience for this list are people who already know Java, and have taken the time to become somewhat familiar with the Android SDK, then need help or further clarification of the more specific topics within Android development.
