Some more details: This is definitely caused by a difference in the 2 versions. If I install the current version on a device (but decrement the version code), and then update to the currently released version through the market, the settings are not cleared. If I install the previous version, and then update through the market, the settings are cleared
So, any ideas about changes which might cause this?
