Thanks for the suggestions, I guess I was assuming that there was a way to hook into the GUI framework like JSF or other modern frameworks. I hope that future enhancements of Android would include this capability.
All the books that you read nowadays always promote the idea of loose coupling... Other than this, I like the programming model, where resources are referenced in a safe way through the R class.
