My initial response was going to be something like: I can run Android on everything - so don't rely on my fridge having a "Back"-button.
After considering it some more: If you are going to publish your app on Android Market you should check the requirements for Android Market. AFAIK it requires the handset maker to obtain a license from Google which might put some restrictions/requirements on hardware.
