I have about the same problem. Can't get the SGS2 working with Android
ADK and a mbed platform (NXP LPC1768). Someone ported the Arduino code
to mbed, so it's pretty much the same.

When i get the protocol version as described here
http://developer.android.com/guide/topics/usb/adk.html#start i get -1
back, not 1 as expected.
The vendor+product ids are samsumg and samsung galaxy s2, not google
vendor id.

Is this a Samsung problem? I'm using correct firmware+googl api level
10.
