2. Read carefully: I didn't say anything about Google+ API being part of 
Android, only that I didn't find a reference to an API or SDK in the Android 
DOCS. Is Google Maps API referenced in the Android Docs? Yes, it is, here: 
http://developer.android.com/guide/topics/location/index.html Also, the 
Google Maps API may not be a part of the core of Android SDK, but it is an 
add-on downloaded via the SDK tool, which kindof makes it less a separate 
API than the Facebook Android one that is downloaded separately.
