Video over USB? As someone who has done (before my video capture system ate itself) a fair amount of video capture and video editing in the past, I agree 100%. Only at VERY low frame rates, VERY low quality (i.e., very low bit rate used during encoding), with VERY little motion, and a very good delta compression scheme, like Divx or Xvid... Otherwise, expect a massive amount of dropped frames and other errors. Oh, and that assumes USB2 and ZERO errors on the USB2 connection (i.e., very high-quality USB2 cables...not the ordinary type. Normally, any time you start talking video, you automatically start having to worry about things like system speed, hard disk speed, dedicated drives (e.g., don't put your system or video player software on the same physical drive as the video file), and so on. That assumes "normal" quality (PDTV) video. I won't even get into the requirements for a video CAPTURE system....
