It seems like that would be wrong when moving at an uneven speed, if I go by the spec. Of course, that might be consistent with a real compass. The sample does use accelerometer. http://www.damonkohler.com/2010/06/better-orientation-readings-in-android.html But the person doing that sample didn't actually compile it or run it before posting.
