Some more input to help me better when I tried

getAssets().open("demo.xml");

I am getting response. But when I say this

getContext().getAssets().openFd("demo.xml");

I am getting exception (from Trace) "java.io.FileNotFoundException: This
file can not be opened as a file descriptor; it is probably compressed"

But I haven't compress anything.

Thanks
Siva
