Your solution seems to simple not reuse the views. I don't think you'll hit a performance issue speed-wise but you may want to check memory-wise as I believe this is the main reason behind this design.
Especially if you have one bitmap per row, a long list of row could trigger "Bitmap exceeds VM budget" memory exceptions.
