Hello, I am struggling with the same above question.. I am using android 2.1-update1 (i.e. API level 7) and I want to change the default phone number that gets assigned to the emulator. Does anybody know a way to do this?
Doing a google search yielded no results... I found few threads like this: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/4867286/change-phone-number-in-emulator-android-development but no replies. On the emulator, "Settings -> About phone -> Status -> My phone number" shows the default phone number, but there is no option to change it. I also tried the command "telnet localhost <port>", but after going over the available commands, couldn't find any command to change the phone number. Is there any configuration file which you can change via "adb shell" and change the number?
