> I don't think it's possible. But I am not 100% sure. I did some rummaging in the source. The service that builds the list responds to PACKAGE_REMOVED or ADDED and CONFIGURATION_CHANGED and ACTION_EXTERNAL_APPLICATIONS_AVAILABLE/ ACTION_EXTERNAL_APPLICATIONS_UNAVAILABLE.
Once one of these occurs, the list is updated according to whether the provider component is enabled or disabled. I havn't been able to fake or otherwise provoke any of those, so I made a feature request. Maybe in 2018...
