I have read the Bluetooth Chat demo, read the specs for the APIs in android.bluetooth, done many Google queries such as "android bluetooth rfcomm flow control", but I still cannot figure out the answer to the question: how do I get not just any RFCOMM connection, but specifically a connection with specified flow control parameters, baud rate etc?
I have this application that uses android.bluetooth in Android 2.2 to connect over RFCOMM to a remote device. But it drops packets, even when only inches away in a relatively quiet RF environment, so one of the things I want to do to improve the quality of the connection is turn on flow control (just in case the reason is overrun). My guess is that emulating hardware flow control will give the best performance. But android.bluetooth's listenUsingRfcommWithServiceRecord does not advertise a way to set this, nor to negotiate with the remote device what options it does support. Or does it? Is it hidden somewhere in the Service Record, for which I also have not been able to find much documentation? -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Developers" group.
