hey this works for me
you can write this in buttons onClickListener
InputMethodManager imm = (InputMethodManager)
getSystemService(Context.INPUT_METHOD_SERVICE);
imm.hideSoftInputFromWindow(editText_object.getWindowToken(), 0);
write this in a class which extends activity.
or u can write this android:windowSoftInputMode="stateHidden" in your
AndroidManifest file.
