Hi, I created a signed apk. I uploaded it to marketplace as usual. I also installed a copy of it on a device directly, perhaps as an email attachment.
If I upload an updated version of the app to the marketplace, will the device be notified that a new version of the app exists on marketplace? Or does that update-alert system depend on the app being originally installed through marketplace?
