I think I'm missing something... I want to do something like.  I have
the list Adapater being set to a custom adapter... so I was trying to
do it this way..

        @Override
        public void onSaveInstanceState(Bundle savedInstanceState)
        {
                savedInstanceState.putSerializable("listview", (Serializable)
getListAdapter());

        }

        @Override
        public void onRestoreInstanceState(Bundle savedInstanceState)
        {

                setListAdapter((MyCustomListAdapter)
savedInstanceState.getSerializable("listview"));

        }
