Hello there. I'm trying to extract a Bitmap/Drawable from the Instant Messaging database (located in "/data/data/com.google.android.providers.im/ databases/im.db"). In the "_data" column of the "avatars" table, there seem to be binary information corresponding to the portrait of a GTalk/ Gmail account.
My question is: how can you create a Drawable/Bitmap object from that data? BTW, I take the opportunity to ask: - whether there would be a hidden Android field in the built-in contacts application that enables to provide expressively the GTalk/ Gmail account and thus have a way to link the two entries; - do you know how Google intends to import in Android all your Gmail/ GTalk contacts.
