The iPhone and Android were big topics at the inaugural Emerging
Communications (eComm) conference back in March, e.g. Rich Miner,
Group Manager, Wireless Platforms, Google opened day two [1],
Christopher Allen (iPhoneWebDev.com) spoke [2] and also attended the
Wireless Innovation panel along with Sumit Agarwal, product manager
for Google Mobile and others [3]

Overall the iPhone was a huge topic followed by Android (because there
are no products out) and both featured as part of the conference aims
[4].

Thinking towards a 2009 (end of Feb/start of March) I was thinking a
competition would be good. I'd like to see iPhone apps battling
Android apps. The prize could be say 10K USD to winner or say 5K USD
to winner, 3K USD to second place, and 2K to third place.

What do others think? Specifically the definition of the competition,
and the size and distribution of prize money.

Regards

Lee
